Preservative Against Contagious Disease in the Lungs of Cattle. Leopold Mandl Director of the Spirit Refinery Co. of Budapest Muzeura Rbriit No. 10 Hungary do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement 5 My invention is a preservative against contagious disease in the lungs of Cattle and is composed of the following materials or ingredients in the following proportions, dissolved in 100 litres of very strong and highly rectified spirit viz. : 150 Grammes Carbonate of Ammonium 150 „ Chloride of Ammonium 10 300 „ Chloride of Sodium 300 „ Liquid Tar 100 „ Cochineal 5 litres of decoction of Herba-Plantagenis mixed with 800 Grammes of the Spirit. The composition is entirely new and also the application of it against contagious 15 disease of the lungs. By the systematic application of this preservative, contagion is entirely impossible by Cattle as the germs of such contagious disease of the lungs of Cattle cannot be further developed, but are extirpated entirely. Of course according to the nature of Cattle and variety of the Sickness, other 20 remedies might be applied with occasional success, but the above described preserva¬ tive will be found the most effective in all cases. My invention is a preservative which by the nature of the case must be applied internally, by introduction into the body of the animal. The effect of my invention manifests itself in the fact that the lungs of Cattle which 25 have been disinfected by the application of my preservative will never be inclined to the disease as the germs of the contagious disease in the lungs are entirely annihilated. The systematic application of my preservative is as follows for a full grown and well developed animal always on an empty stomach. [/Via# 4*L]
