Description
Copies of the newsletter of the Thalidomide Society. Following a printed inauguration issue that appeared sometime after the Society's first Annual General Meeting in April 1963, the newsletter was circulated in the form of a duplicated typescript. This continued until 1989-1990, with only minor alterations in the general layout. It is uncertain how complete the extant run is, for issues were not numbered. From 1990, when the newsletter was renamed The Independence, issues were numbered and the layout shifted to column format.
