Biographical note
A Salaries Sub-Committee was appointed in 1941 by the Emergency General Purposes Committee to revise the CSMMG scale of salaries and to report directly to Council. The Sub-Committee reviewed the scale and negotiated regarding its adoption by other organisations, such as the British Hospital Association.
In Dec 1944 Council appointed the Salaries Committee as a Standing Committee of Council, its terms of reference being to consider all matters relating to salaries and conditions of service for chartered physiotherapists.
In 1955 the Salaries Committee took over the duties of the disbanded Physiotherapy Service Committee relating to physiotherapists serving in the armed forces.
On 14 Mar 1979 Council confirmed the change of name to the Industrial Relations Committee.
