About this work

Description

Notebook containing sermons on various subjects, written in a neat sixteenth-century Italian hand. Entitled in an eighteenth-century hand, 'Raccolta di molti prediche e discorsi morali.' Among the few contemporary references are mentioned printed books and plagiarism (f. 86r.), and the prevalence of famine in Italy (f. 121v.). Among other things, the preacher discusses the relation between famine and plague (f. 122v.).
