About this work

Description

A painting by psychiatric patient 12 depicting a red building with tall chimneys with a group of patients in the foreground. According to Rita Simon, when in conversations with Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997, the patient referred to other patients as "loonies" and did not believe she should be in the hospital, sa she just had a bad temper.

The title has been taken from notes made during a conversation between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff at the time of deposit.

Rita Simon's classification: Archaic Linear with slight Massive Transition.
