Description

Correspondence between the National Trust, Penrose and Melford Rural District Council regarding proposed sewerage works to be sited on land adjacent to Thorington Hall. This land was protected by a covenant made by the former owner, Sir Charles Rowling, that it could not be used for building of any kind. Includes a 25" OS map (Suffolk sheet LXXXI 13) and two maps showing a sewer plan and general layout of the proposed sewage disposal works.
