PEPSIN. IRON. EXTRACT OF ALOES. P0D0PHYLL3N. TARAXACUM. BLUE PILL BI-CARBONATES OF SODA AND POTASH. IPECACUANHA. NUX VOMICA. CAMPHOR. CAPSICUM. COMP. RHUBARB. COMP. COLOCYNTH. COCA. COD LIVER OIL. ANTI-PYRIN, &C., &C. WE PREPARE THESE MEDICINES BY AID OF THE IMPROVED APPLIANCES OF MODERN PHARMACY, IN THE BEST FORMS TO SECURE EFFICIENCY, ACCURACY AND PORTABILITY, And the most convenient for the purposes for which they are recommended, viz.:—TO SUPPLY THE NEEDS OF PERSONS TRAVELLING or Living Abroad, or in out-of-the-way places at home ; ASYLUMS, MEDICAL MISSIONS, COTTAGE HOSPITALS and other like Institutions. They will be found invaluable to CON¬ TINENTAL TOURISTS, Yachtsmen, and others removed from the means of readily obtaining MEDICAL AID. OUR PILOIDS OF SIMPLE COMPRESSED DRUGS & PEARL-COATED PILLS. Are both extremely pop.table, a useful variety being packable in a very small compass (See page 8). The MEDICINES SELECTED are all Official (Pharmacop.eial) , the composition and properties of ivhich are icell known. Unlike “ Nostrums ” and so-called “ Patent Medicines ” of mystical composition, the ingredients of which all the Pills and Piloids are composed are fully disclosed on the Labels, a safeguard against misapplication, and a guarantee of the genuineness of the Medicine. Their merits consist in the high quality of the Drugs of which they are composed, and their sufficiency for, and perfect adaptation to, the purposes for ivhich they are made. THE GLYCERINE LOZENGES Are very superior to those made with Gum and Sugar. They are medicated according to the British Pharma¬ copoeia or to the Formulae in use at the Throat Hospital and the Hospital for Consumption. These Lozenges are soft and palatable, consisting of more than half their weight of Glycerine. They dissolve slowly in the mouth, medicating and soothing all parts ivith ivhich they come in contact. (See List, p. 6.) THE CHILDREN’S PILOIDsT are excellent Substitutes for Nauseous POWDEES. Many of them are quite palatable—for example:—Carbonate of Iron,—and are readily taken as a Lozenge; while others—Laxative Cascara and the Alterative Grey Powder—if given in honey or preserve, very little taste can be discovered, owing to the Drug being firmly compressed together. The smaller kinds are easily administered in food without the medicine being detected. They are very easy to swallow. THE PERFUME EUCALYPTUSINE & THE THYMOL POWDER (See page 7) Will be found most desirable additions to the toilet, and especially serviceable in travelling in hot climates, both being powerfully Antiseptic as well as fragrant, and destructive to mosquitoes and other like pests. ALL THE PREPARATIONS ON THIS LIST carry our Trade Mark and are guaranteed to be true to description. Every bottle or box is fully and correctly labelled, showing the action and dose of the Medicines. They may be obtained direct from onr Laboratory. When cash is sent, we pay carriage on all Articles of the value of ONE SHILLING- AND UPWARDS.
