About this work

Description

Copy of a typescript, with manuscript amendments, of novel 'Dr Gerald Ogmore' (Book One or Part One). The inside front page preface explains the book: 'the events recorded in the book are true, partially true, fictional, and an admixture of defensiveness, boastfulness, artifice, pride and shame. It has no plot, no aim and no moral, and should such be construed, no humility. Any merit of worthiness, literary or psychological may be reckoned by others. There are aspirations to neither. On the long survivor's road of life, we walk sometimes on the outside reality world, sometimes on the inner side of our selves. Some of us, forced by nature, dig tunnels between the two, for others to traverse. This book is the record of such tunnels along the way.'

The pages are numbered pp 1-71. Book One deals with the development of Dr Ogmore.
