Later minutes of Council and Committees

Minutes of Council meetings were bound with those of the Committees: Executive, Affiliation, Finance, Midwives and Nursing, 1906-1931, with additions of the Standing Committee of County Nursing Associations (County Committee) from 1912, a General Purposes Committee from 1920, a Gardens Scheme Sub-committee from 1927 and special committees and meetings. From 1931, the functions of the Executive Committee appear to have been taken over by Council, and from 1938 only the Finance and General Purposes Committees' minutes are bound with Council's (General Purposes being replaced by a new Executive Committee from 1946, which from 1949 to 1965 was divided into a General Executive Committee and a Local Health Services Executive Committee). Minutes and reports of meetings of Institute officers with Superintendents and Inspectors are frequently also found in the volume before 1938 (see list below). Later reports of such meetings, together with minutes of the smaller committees and sub-committees from 1938, can be found in Section D. From 1968 volumes only contain Council, Executive, Finance and Superannuation minutes. From 1972 they contain just Council minutes.
