Description

Correspondence with Dr Andrew Herxheimer, Charing Cross Hospital Medical School, relating to complaints about the side effects of various medicines, particularly effects of medications on elderly people after admission to hospital, the safety of particular drugs (e.g. Halcion), safety of new forms of treatment for psoriasis. Plus the Association's comments on a draft paper entitled 'The role of consumer associations in more effective and safer prescribing' by A Herxheimer, International Organisation of Consumer Unions (1984).

Dr Herxheimer was one of the doctors who provided the Patients Association with professional advice and assistance with regard to some of the patient correspondence.
