Photograph of a model parturition or birthing chair based on a 17th century design. The model was previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but is now held by the Science Museum (A63539). Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 11th October 1935 (PHO 5251).
