These are written in the beginning [A-F], among the blank pages, of an alphabetical list of plants. This list was possibly compiled by Bernardino Antonio Gomez [1778-1823], whose signature, dated 1823, appears on the first page of the first 'Caderno'. 10 Caderno particular 1806-1808. Copies of extracts from letters by M. J. Mouraõ. Mouraõ's signature appears on the first leaf of each of the first seven 'Cadernos'. He gives his full name on the title-page of the 'Conta dos Vaccinados' as 'Dr. Manoel Jozé Mouraõ de Carvalho Azevedo Monteiro'.
