Neatly written in Latin by the same hand throughout. There is no indication of the writer's identity. The title is: "Tractatus | De | Materia Me- | dica- | Lugduni Batauorum | M.D.C.XCI." The manuscript is evidently an elaboration of the Leiden lectures of Paul Hermann (cf. MS.MSL.76).
