About this work

Description

A woodblock printed volume consisting mostly of figure sketches by Katsushika Hokusai. Two forms of his work are known, one with simple line illustrations and one in which a pink block and grey shading have been used as well; this is an example of the latter. This work was originally published under the title Ryōbi reihitsu in 1820 but this is a later impression under a different title published by Minoya Iroka of Nagoya et al.
