About this work

Description

1 artwork identified by Rita Simon's pseudonym "Tuberculosis Patient 12 - Mrs Bird" which shows a central tall shape, surrounded by dashes and dabs, all painted in black ink. Rita Simon said: "Fantastic! Marvellous! That black thing is probably a dolmen."

The quote above is taken from conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.

The title has been supplied by the cataloguer for identification purposes, based on Rita Simon's assumption that the black shape might be a dolmen.
