Description

This records attendances, accounts for dinners, wagers between members and occasional brief minutes.

On ff. 201-202 are lists of members, 1789-1820. Mounted on ff. 19 and 22 are letters from Richard Grindall on his resignation in 1792. Inserted loose at f. 77 is the text of a wager in 1801 by John Birch, described at the time of his death as the father of the Club, that John Rush could not produce five persons on their legs who had undergone the operation for popliteal aneurysm in the previous seven years.
