Photograph of an oil painting, possibly of William Gordon (1801-1849), physician and fellow of the Linnean Society of London, with left hand on hip and right hand in waistcoat front. This painting was acquired at auction from Fosters 8th March 1916, Lot 90, and accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 8th January 1930 (CC 5106).
