Biographical note

Project Summary:Saving Unborn Babies is a film that follows the astonishing story of a couple whose unborn baby is diagnosed with life-threatening congenital diaphragmatic hernia and for whom fetal surgery is the only chance of survival. The film includes the remarkable procedure performed by Professor Nicolaides at Kings College Hospital to insert a silicone balloon into a 25-week fetal windpipe. The film will be a combination of dramatic pioneering medicine and an intimate insight into the struggles of a couple coping with a high-risk pregnancy.
