Biographical note
Project Summary:The Edward Jenner Museum, home of the pioneer of vaccination, is launching an education and exhibition programme in 2009 that will engage the local community in the science of immunology, recreating campaigns for and against vaccination, as a way of deepening current debates. The unused attic of the Museum will be transformed by sitespecific art installations and video projections, so visitors can imagine living when smallpox was rife, from the 18th century onwards. Workshops for primary, secondary and U3A (University of the Third Age) groups will use drama, role play and video to create short films that will be incorporated into the exhibition.
