Description

Papers relating to the BBC Horizon television programme The Rat Man (which starred Edward Fox), including annotated screenplay, correspondence with the BBC producer about compiling the programme, correspondence with the American Psychoanalytical Association about them screening the production at one of their regular meetings.

The 'Rat Man' was a Freud case study, about patient Paul Lorenz. The producer Bruce Norman had been put in touch with Ismond Rosen by Freud's daughter Anna, to advise on the content as a consultant. The file has factual information on how the programme came about and who financed it.
