Description
The CCU received substantial coverage in local and national newspapers and scientific journals. The unit used this publicity to encourage volunteers to participate in clinical trials. The CCU often issued press releases and participated in interviews, examples of which are included in this series.
Draft and published articles, occasionally accompanied by related correspondence with the editor. Also includes articles collected by C Andrewes (Director of CCU, 1946-1962) and M L Bynoe (Medical Superintendent of the Common Cold Unit) on virology and the common cold.
