About this work

Description

An incomplete manuscript entitled Toshin seiyo (痘疹精要), The essentials of smallpox, including coloured illustrations of different symptoms of smallpox. An inscription on the title page of the second volume attributes the work to Kanda Gensen (神田玄泉) (c.1670-1746) with revisions and supplements by Enomoto Gensho (榎本玄昌新), a doctor in Kiyomizu domain (modern Gifu Prefecture).

Ownership note
