Executive Committee Meetings

These meetings were held annually and internationally and ran over two or three days. They usually coincided with Council Meetings and meetings of the General Assembly, which were held in the same location on the same dates. The papers generally comprise the minutes of the dated meeting, a report from the Secretary-General of the ILAE, a report from the Treasurer and usually a report from the Editor in Chief of the Journal Epilepsia. Other reports were submitted to the meetings but these depended on the issues dealt with during the year. All of the work of the ILAE was reported through the Executive Committee meetings.
The files in this series called 'Supplementary Papers' are background information to the meeting and comprise correspondence, reports from other meetings, reports from related organisations, reports from the Commissions and the Symposia Organising Committee, and sometimes administration arrangements for the meetings. Larger supplemetnary files have been broken down further into General papers, Commissions and Congress arrangements while smaller files contain all of these subjects in one reference number.
