Drafts and supporting material

This section is based around a series of files from Dent's filing cabinets which have been re-arranged chronologically. Almost all contain drafts of papers submitted for publication. A variety of other material may also be included, such as associated correspondence, research notes and data, clinical photographs, and case histories. It seems that on publication of a particular piece of research, Dent weeded out what he considered the most important documentation about the topic and filed it with the typescript of the submitted paper for future reference. The title of the paper is given in inverted commas, preDented by the original file title if this differs. The date given is the approximate date of the draft publication, although it should be noted that the supporting material, which is often difficult to date, may pre- and/or post-date this.
