Description
Fifth IPPNW European Symposium, 13-16 September 1990, Coventry. Also titled, 'Health and Security 2000: New Thinking in Europe', as the event was held 10 years before WHO's proposed Health for All by the year 2000.
Following the withdrawal of host country Poland, the Fifth IPPNW European Symposium was held in Coventry in 1990. 1990 was also the 10th anniversary of both MCANW and IPPNW, as well as the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Coventry in WWII.
The opening ceremony was held in Coventry Cathedral.
