5 January, Battle Creek, Michigan, from Roland E Kremers, requesting reprint of "The non-volatile constituents of the cotton plant";
17 and 19 January, Washington DC, US Dept Agriculture, two letters, plus small sheet of calculations (pencil) in Power's hand ("In accordance with the arrangement made with you, the Bureau is recommending that you be placed on furlough without pay beginning February 1, 1927 and restored to the rolls June 30, 1927");
8 February, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Journal of the American Chemical Society, from Arthur B Lamb (Editor), request to referee paper submitted by Dr G A Perkins ("Synthesis of compounds similar to chaulmoogric acid...");
18 and 23 February, and 4 March, three letters relating to testimonials for the retirement of Dr William Trelease (University of Illinois) - Power's testimonial is dated 23 February;
16 March, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Journal of the American Chemical Society, from Arthur B Lamb (Editor), request for a book review;
21 March, Chicago, American Institute of Baking, from H E Barnard (President) - letter raising money for a bust of Dr Wiley.
