Description
Vaccines: Braxy is a disease of sheep, chiefly affecting those under one year old. It is characterised by sudden death and occurs in the late autumn and early winter. The disease is caused by the anaerobic micro-organism Clostridium septicum which sets up an inflammatory lesion in the wall of the fourth stomach. Death is due to the toxin produced. 'Wellcome' brand Braxy Vaccine has been used to treat sheep on a wide scale. Administered via subcutaneous injection.
