Acquisition note

Purchased from: Stevens, London, March 1930 (acc.56583), November 1930 (acc.55796), March 1931 (acc.68122) and September 1932 (acc.68417); Sotheby's, London, February 1932 (acc.76070); Glendining, London, October 1933 (acc. 67799). Nos.1 and 10 transferred from Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, c.1939 (acc.91800); no.1 also carries the accession number 16586, which indicates purchase from Barrie and Bartlett, November 1906, but as the accession register states this purchase to have been of Armenian manuscripts the number is probably wrong. Provenance of no.15 not recorded (acc.67430). No acquisition details recorded for no.16.
