    Prosecutions There were no prosecutions under the Lunacy Act, 1890, during the year 1952. Board of Control Sir Percy Barter, C.B., retired on 30th September, 1952. He had been Chairman of the Board since 1945, and had previously served as Secretary from 1930 to 1939. Sir Percy was succeeded by Mr. I. F.
