Of the two Price Lists dated October 1901, one copy was used in the case of Burroughs Wellcome & Co. v Thompson & Capper (1903-04). This landmark "Tabloid case" established once and for all that "tabloid" could not be used freely in a generic descriptive manner but only in relation to certain products manufactured by BW & Co.
