About this work

Description

Lovatt Evans was asked to delivery the first William Dick Memorial Lecture; he declined because of his wife's ill-health, but after her death in Dec. 1964 took up the invitation in order to pay tribute to Dick's work in veterinary studies. The lecture, on `Physiological Mechanisms that underline sweating in the horse', was delivered in May 1965 and published in Brit. Vet. J., 122, 1966.
