Correspondence and papers compiled by Vivien Kerr, who held the office of "Secretary and Development Worker" (later "Co-ordinator") from the mid 1990s. Covers Kerr's research to develop a targeted approach to fundraising.
The second file relates specifically to how the Society approached the Diageo Foundation for sponsorship of its self-help activities. This part comes with a Society-internal vote on whether Diageo should be approached for funds on any of the Society's projects.
The Diageo Fundation's parent company, Diageo plc, inherited the thalidomide legacy of Distillers Ltd, the UK distributors of thalidomide 1959-1961.
