Includes four additional colour slides for lecturing purposes, comparing phocomelia occurence in the UK and West Germany 1959-1962, with a portrait of the limbless 19th-century Irish politician Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh.

Found with a label suggesting that the original photographs of the children presenting to the Irish Thalidomide Medical Board were taken by the Dublin medical photographer James P. Mulvanney.
