A Bottle for Containing’ Poisonous Ingredients and Preventing Poisoning by Misadventure. Alexander Paterson, G, Mornington Place, Regent’s Park, London, NAY., Compositor, do hereby declare the nature of this invention to he as follows: — In this bottle both the top and bottom are fashioned similarly, like two tops of an ordinary bottle joined together, but only on one end is there an opening 5 for a moveable stopper, the other having merely a fixed imitation thereof. On the moveable stopper end the neck is made to receive a flat cap corresponding in circumference to that of the bottle, which, when screwed on, changes the appear¬ ance of the bottle to that of an ordinary one with one top, on which the fixed immitation stopper appears. Thus the opening to the bottle is at what appears to IQ be the bottom, protected by the cap and stopper, and what appears to be the top has no opening in it whatever. The bottle cannot stand otherwise than top downwards, and must be reversed and the caj) and stopper removed before the contents are reached, thus betraying at once the dangerous nature of the ingre¬ dients therein. 15 Dated this 11th day of March 1899. A Bottle for Containing Poisonous Ingredients and Preventing Poisoning by Misadventure. 2q Alexander Paterson, G, Mornington Place, Regent’s Park, London, NAY., Compositor, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: — This invention relates to new and useful improvements in bottles and similar 25 receptacles, and has more particular reference to a bottle for containing poisonous ingredients and preventing poisoning by misadventure, so peculiarly con¬ structed as to attract the attention of the user, and warn him of contents harmful in character and requiring great care in the use thereof. My invention is fully disclosed in the following specification, of which the 3Q accompanying drawing forms a part, in which like reference characters denote like parts in the several views, and in which Fig. 1 is a side elevation of a bottle constructed according to my invention; and h 1SL * [Price 8c£.]
