Correspondence between Alan Williams as the head of the Medical Research Council (MRC) unit in Oxford and members of various other institutions on meetings he was invited to attend and membership invitations for groups and committees including the Oxford Enzyme Group. The file also contains a plan for Alan's departure from the Dunn School after his cancer diagnosis. The title has been taken from the original file label.

Alan Williams kept his loose papers in labelled suspension files in a filing cabinet. These files were lost before cataloguing commenced but some file labels remained. Where possible, the papers have been sorted into those subjects and where not, they have been sorted by the cataloguer.
