Biographical note

Adami, John George (1862-1926), pathologist, born in Manchester. He studied natural science at Cambridge University. In 1892, he was appointed a new position in pathology and bacteriology at McGill University, Montreal. In Montreal, Adami became involved in the campaign against pulmonary tuberculosis. His main contribution to pathology was to link it more closely with clinical medicine. In 1926, he died of a lymphoma.
