About this work

Description

The Molecular Techniques Workshop, a ten-day workshop held at the University of Glasgow, ran for ten years until about 2007. It covered an introduction to molecular techniques; RNA extraction, analysis and gene expression; DNA extraction, analysis and modification; and transfections and functional studies. The decision not to continue the workshop was taken as many undergraduate physiology programmes now included molecular biology and much of the course content was already familiar to potential participants.
