A painting in Rita Simon's Traditional Massive style, depicting a man warming his hands at a brazier. Rita Simon stated that the painting was, "a typical Traditional Massive painting. Freely painted with a dry brush technique in which the painter is experienced. The technique lends itself to naturalism. Easy and intuitive painting".

The title has been taken from notes made during conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.
