Letters from various correspondents, including John Ash (1-2), George Cleghorn (16), Charles Combe (19-21), James Currie (23), Andrew Duncan (32), John Haygarth (regarding a quarrel with Dr. Caldwell) (40), George Hayward (41), Alexander Monro secundus (58), William Nisbet (61), Benjamin Rush (66), John Walker (76) and William Withering (85).
The letters are frequently concerned with clinical medicine, pathology, materia medica, variolation and vaccination. Many relate to the business of the Medical Society of London, of which Lettsom was President.
Also included is an indenture assigning to Lettsom the copyright in the Flora Londinensis by William Curtis.
