Biographical note

The Center for Health Design was founded in 1993 as a non-profit corporation, based in California, USA. It aimed to advance the state of environmental design in healthcare settings by demonstrating the value of design in improving health and wellbeing. The Center aimed to increase awareness of the value of design and the arts in the healthcare industry, as well as supporting research into arts and health.
