The section is arranged in five series as follows:

Biographical note
The Bulletin was first printed in 1955, and negotiations with publishers in the 1960s resulted in a contract with Oxford University Press, Inc. (OUP) to publish a quarterly Journal, agreed in 1971. The IEA also arranged with OUP and the WHO to publish a series of IEA/WHO handbooks on epidemiology, the first issued in 1977.
A further Memorandum of Agreement was negotiated between the IEA and Churchill Livingstone, Medical Division of Longman Group Ltd., in 1976; and between the IEA and OUP in 1983 relating to book publications.
The founder members and leading Officers of the Association authored, edited and contributed to numerous publications on epidemiology; some of which were very successful texts with numerous editions and in various translations.
