Registers

These contain the names of residents and a variety of information which commonly includes marital state, age on admission, date of birth, referring hospital, service required (eg. long or short term stay), source of maintenance, remarks, date of departure, and destination. Some volumes also include diagnosis of resident. The covering dates given are those of the earliest admission and the latest departure, although in some cases the registers were probably compiled well after the earliest date of admission and contain retrospective information.
