Description

A terracotta sculpture of a hippopotamus head painted white with a gaping mouth painted red, made by one of Rita Simon's patients under the pseudonym 'Pat.' It is reproduced and analysed in Rita Simon's book, Symbolic Images in Art as Therapy on page 134, Figure 8.4.

The title has been taken from Rita Simon's book, Symbolic Images in Art as Therapy.
