What brought you to our website today?

Diecut, colour label for a tablet of glycerine soap with a double line gold border. It depicts a (round) tablet of the translucent, amber coloured soap on a pale blue background.

Witch hazel glycerine soap / Dr. J.B. Lynas & Son.

Probably part of the packaging for a bar of soap. This is printed in black on off-white greaseproof paper. Text, ornate logo and the 3 small illustrations in circular and oval borders are contained within an overall decorative border.

Dr. Lovelace's scented superior family soap : manufactured only by the East Lancashire Soap Company, Limited : Enfield Soap Works, near Accrington : Junior Wrap.

Possibly a wrapper for a bar of soap printed in black on white paper. Text is in French and English. "Savon dulcifie au suc de laitue" is across a banner above a coat of arms from which lines radiate above 5 lettuce plants growing on an oval patch of soil.

Lettuce heart soap : pure extraction for whitening the skin made only for / Roberts & Co.

Magazine insert showing a young washerwoman washing 4 cherubs and hanging them up to dry on a clothesline suspended from the banner bearing the title. An owl sitting in half an eggshell is to the left of it. The reverse is text only. Frazer's Sulphur Tablets are also advertised - a "great blood purifier".

Leaflet advertising Frazer's soap. Printed in carmine on white paper. Illustrations of both packs above the text. Its emollient effect in eczema is promoted. A puzzle jigsaw is on the reverse. When cut up and reassembled it will reveal a special offer.

Leaflet advertising Tidman's soaps and salt ("of great use in cases of general debility", cures rheumatism constipation, lameness, sciatica. Testimonials are on the reverse. The front shows a nanny in a long, green dress bathing a golden haired child. Five varieties of soap are shown below.

Label, possibly for a box of soaps. It features an image of a street of straw huts and palm trees to the left, a bearded man in red and white (Lawrence of Arabia) headgear in the centre and an exploratory procession on horse and camelback along a river to the right. Images surrounded by a bamboo style border overprinted in gold.
