What brought you to our website today?

Possibly a magazine insert or advertising card. Drawing exercise on one side, colour picture of a yellow macaw in the treetops with sea behind in a yellow picture frame on the other.

For the little folks, a drawing lesson from Hudson's Extract of Soap Works (Advertising Department) ... : the yellow macaw.

Folded, diecut card in the shape of four policemen standing in a row, holding a banner with 10 panels proclaiming the virtues of Hudson's Soap etc. "it destroys all germs or disease harboured in dirt". They have 4 slogans painted on their backs. The card is folded so that it looks like two policemen viewed from behind on both sides. The soap can be used for washing clothes and general domestic hygiene. The suds should be poured down pipes to clean them out.

Arrest all dirt : Hudson's Soap, Hudson's Extract of Soap and Hudson's Dry Soap.

Advertising card proclaiming the virtues of Hudson's Soap. it shows the heads of 3 curly, golden-haired young girls in a brass bed with white sheets and pillows.

"Oh, sleep! It is a gentle thing, beloved from pole to pole" : sweet sleep in sweet sheets : the luxury of pure sweet linen ensured by using Hudson's Extract of Soap or Hudson's Dry Soap.

Diecut card in the shape of a phrenological head. "Try your bumps" is the slogan on one side, "Are you domesticated?" on the other. Each section of the head has headings which look like genuine phrenological ones but actually promote Hudson's Soap in the text below.
