About this work

Description

From the late 1950s Ismond Rosen practiced privately as a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. Over the years he built up an immensly busy practice, treating patients from many walks of life suffering from the whole gamut of emotional and psychologicial issues including gender dysphoria, sexual identity conflict, exhibitionism, scopophilia, problematic familial relationships, familial abuse, sexual abuse, parent-child relationships, work stress and business crises, artistic or creativity block, addiction, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, and so on.

The majority of files in this section were generated from his private practice but it also includes a small amount of material connected to non-private patients treated at the various clinics or hospitals Rosen was attached to.

A few of the files, out of the 523, consist of papers relating to a number of different patients.

These records are closed for Data Protection Act reasons. The earliest date where a closure will be reviewed is 1 January 2042.
