A volume of notes and extracts relating to the life of Alof de Wignacourt. ff. 3r.-47r. 'Compendio della Vita ed Azzioni dell'Eminentissimo Signor Don Alofio de Wignacourt cinquantesimoterzo Gran Maestro della Sacra Militar Religione di San Giovanni Gerosolimitano'. This work was dedicated (f. 5r) to Wignacourt's nephew, Pierre Adrien de Wignacourt (d.1697), treasurer-general and later grand master of the Order of St John, by the author, Giovanni Antonio Bonvicini. The copyist has inserted (f. 4r.) an engraving of a bust of Alof de Wignacourt, aged sixty-one. ff. 47v.-49v. 'Ristretto delle più segnalate spese donativi ed imprestiti fatti dal Serenissimo Signore Gran Maestro Fra Alofio de Wignacourt in tempo del suo felicissimo magistero'. ff. 50r.-59v., 84r.-91r. Historical notes on the precedence of the flag of the Order of St. John. ff. 60r.-65v. 'Fra Alofio de Wignacourt, gia Ospedaliere, e Capo della Lingua di Francia 53o Gran Maestro, eletto nel 1601. Mori nel 1622'. ff. 66r.-72v. 'Delle Lodi del Gran Maestro Frà Alofio de Wignacourt', extracted from D. M. Curione, Glorioso Trionfo della Sacra Religione Gerosolimitana (place and date of publication unknown). ff. 73r.-83v. 'Delle acque della fontana e della condotta loro alla città Valetta'. There are some marginal pencil notes (ff. 49v., 55r., 89r.) by Sir Everard Duncan Home Fraser (1859-1922), K.C.M.G., together with an inserted letter from him to Arthur Campbell Yate (1853-1929), dated 22 May 1919, referring to the volume.
