About this work

Description

The Broca hospital at this period was primarily a hospital for the treatment of venereal diseases. However, since 1882 it had received women with other chronic diseases, and a new gynaecological amphitheatre and operating room was constructed for Pozzi in 1887 (presumably the room shown in this print)--F. Henry, L'hôpital Broca, Paris 1908, p. 28
