Barbara Pycraft was a member of staff at the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum from 1931 to 1937; she later worked with Sir R. R. Macintosh on dental anaesthesia (see MS. 8225) and published on the history of anaesthesia under her married name of Barbara Duncum.
