About this work
Description
Prescription book of an un-named London chemist's business, based apparently in the West End. Prescriptions are issued on the instructions of various medical men; most frequent are the names of Denis Cronin (Leicester Place), Francis Edward Hicks (Henrietta Street) and J. Harrison (Albany, Piccadilly), while Benjamin Travers (1783-1858) and Benjamin Collins Brodie (probably the elder (1783-1862)) also occur occasionally. Among the patients are some minor members of the aristocracy.
